Jeff Blauser named Mississippi Braves manager

Filed under: Minor Leagues, Draft and Former Braves, Broadcasters — Matthew @ 1:36 am

The Braves have promoted former shortstop Jeff Blauser from roving minor league instructor to manager of the Double-A Mississippi Braves next season. Blauser played for Atlanta from 1987 to 1997. Brian Snitker, who managed Mississippi last year, will take over as manager for the Braves’ Triple-A Richmond affiliate (Pat Kelly, who managed Richmond last year, will now serve the organization in a scouting capacity). Additionally, managers Rocket Wheeler (who managed Class A Rome last season) and Randy Ingle (who skippered the Class A Myrtle Beach Pelicans in 2005) will switch roles.
