John Thomson activated from 60-day DL, Kyle Davies optioned to Richmond
John Thomson was activated from the 60-day disabled list by the Braves before Saturday’s contest against the Diamondbacks. Thomson missed almost 3 months with a strained flexor tendon in his right middle finger. In an inauspicious return, Thomson gave up 5 runs, 4 of them earned, in 6 innings of a work and got a no-decision. He gave up 8 hits, struck out 5, and walked none. He now possesses a 3-2 record and 3.70 ERA in 9 starts this season. Pitcher Kyle Davies was optioned to Triple-A Richmond to clear a spot for Thomson.
