Kyle Davies called up from Richmond, Brayan Pena optioned to Richmond
As expected, with Johnny Estrada returning from his 2-game suspension and the Braves needing a starting pitcher for Saturday’s game, Kyle Davies was recalled from Triple-A Richmond while catcher Brayan Pena is returning to Richmond. Roman Colon pitched better as a starter in the majors this year and probably would have been the Braves’ choice for the start had he not pitched for Richmond Wednesday, rendering him unavailable to start Saturday.
